Trail Lake

This painting is very special to me because it was painted by me and my friend Bob. We took turns developing it on site, painting on our own separate paintings when it wasn't our turn.

The smaller photo shows our gear, side-by-side, and Bob working on the painting. It's a tricky thing working like this, especially if your palettes are different, which ours very much are. I suppose musicians and writers collaborate all the time; you don't hear of painters doing this very much. I've only done it a couple of times and I love it!

  1. Did I see oranges in your evergreen tree? Nice color tension!

  2. Thank you, Steve, but I must give credit to Bob for that choice. He could see the oranges and browns on the ends of those branches; he caused all the tension!
